Moreover, I have to make sure not to skimp on cleaning supplies either. If we run out of something vital such as hand sanitizer or dish soap, then we won't be able to stay compliant with regulations - so restocking needs to happen often and promptly. Finally, it's my job to ensure every customer has an enjoyable experience - and cleanliness plays a huge part in that! As a tea barista, it's my responsibilty to eduacte customers on the various types of teas available and explain brewing techniques (if requested). I always begin by describing how different types of tea leaves are grown, harvested and processed. Then I provide an overview of each type of tea: green, black, oolong, white and herbal. For example, green teas are made from unoxidized leaves and have more delicate flavors compared to other varieties. Next, I explain how the brewing process can vary depending on the type of tea being brewed. For instance with black tea it is important not to over steep or else the flavor can become too strong! Finally, if the customer has specific questions about preparing or buying a particular type of tea then I'm happy to answer them as best as I can.
